DRs are there to help regardless of the fact of what may or may not remain in your record. Your DRs use that record to make informed decisions. If your DR doesn't know something they cant make a fully informed decision.

I was prescribed benzos which I was fine with at first but quickly lead to an addiction and abusing them. I can see maybe using them for a few days but certainly not an ongoing 30 day prescription and certainly not using meds from your friends as that is irresponsible.

I was fine with alcohol for a while but eventually turned into an addiction.

I was fine with weed at first but that also turned into an addiction.

As an addict I justified the use of one over another because I was addicted yet but it turned into one. Recovering addicts are pointing out red flags as they see them. Addicts quickly become defensive when questioned and justify their way. People are just pointing out dangerous behaviors.

we all wish you luck in recovery that much is certain but I would also listen to the experienced members when alarms are sounding.
