Congrats Sproutlife its a great feeling.
feeling good here after first sober Xmas in a long time, in bed with a cuppa watching TV at 9 because I'm tired and looking forward to waking refreshed for boxing day.

This is my fourth sober holidays SproutLife and I'm here to tell you they are the best four holidays I've had since I was a kid. The calm and quiet are so beautiful and the days of reflection and celebration are so much longer. I'm happy for you SproutLife.

It's nice, isn't it? Always present for others, more patience, no hangovers, more energy to participate.

But for me the biggest reward is that overriding sense of calm that pervades. No stress, no worries.

Good job, SproutLife. Enjoy your holidays!

Well done, sprout. You didn’t need the alcohol to have a good time.

I went to a surprisingly boozy dinner tonight. Not an issue for me although I got offered drinks on several occasions, and my girlfriend who literally drinks only at Christmas tried to pass an unwanted drink to me. To be fair, we’ve only been together a few weeks, and it was more a poor show on the part of the host to keep topping up her glass I drove her car back! Really really nice Christmas Day though. No alcohol needed.

Congratulations SproutLife. I've just celebrated my 4th. In sobriety. A very cool word, that.

It has improved with every turn, knowing what I know now. I was destroying myself.

And I couldn't see it.

Now I can. And I no longer want to self destruct.

Thank you sproutLife for sharing your awesome news
and accomplishment with us. It gives many hope that
if you can achieve your 1st holiday sober, then they
can too.

That little seed of hope is now planted and in time
it will grow and become stronger.

Congratulations! My first sober Christmas in 24 years! So much more present, so much more focused on the important things, so much more time! The past couple of days have been the first time since quitting where I feel like I've been a better person and enjoyed life more without alcohol.
