Hello Everyone
Hello- I'm not new; I was on this site years ago but couldn't recover my login info. And I'm not sober, per se. I'm not even trying very hard, though I'm also not drunk. But I wake up most mornings wishing I drank less the night before. I'm not sure what I need, I think it might just be more friends. I drink out of habit and boredom. Anyway. Hi to all of you, and thanks for being here on this site.

Most of us reached the point where drinking further became an intolerable option. I hated waking up feeling like crap and filled with shame that I allowed the fleeting thought of an hours' pleasure (the first 2 beers) to destroy my sleep, ruin the following day and fill me with anxiety.
I hope you figure it out sooner, rather than later as I did.

Hi Earthshine - I felt very much the same a couple of weekends ago. 10 days in now and I feel so much better already and intend to keep it up!
as others have said lots of support and kindness here.
just having a read in a morning gives me a kick up the backside and a reminder of where I need to be.
