Recovery Questions and questions that are not in Recovery
Recovery Questions and questions that are not in Recovery
For Clarification:
I am on this forum for recovery.
We are on this forum for recovery.
We are not here to be sent private messages asking if we are pretty or If we are single or anything of the sort.
Those questions are not based in recovery. Please be respectful and please know those questions cross boundaries.
I've never given the impression that I am available to such behavior and I want to "Feel" safe in the place that has helped me to gain recovery and live in recovery! We are here to recover from our addictions and to have a community.
Maybe other people don't mind the behavior but I just thought It would be appropriate to put this out there considering the message I have received.

Mizz, please PM with the problem you had.
We have a Zero Tolerance Policy for any kind of sexual harassment. It's crucial to us that everyone should feel safe here. We will do everything we can to help you, Mizz.

1) I think everyone deserves to be a part of this community.
2) The message was one to create and uphold a boundary. There is appropriate behavior and there is behavior that is not appropriate.
3) I don't think it is necessary to PM the Moderators at this time. I think the message is clear and we can move forward.
Have an amazing Evening, SR!

Hi Mizz
We cannot read, or even access, PMs.
I won’t ask again, but if we don’t know who it was and know what they said, we can’t do anything more, and it’s possible someone else will have to deal with similar messages.
As galling as that would be for me personally it’s your call.
If you’ve decided to put it behind you, fair play - but I think then this thread should be closed.

I’d like to reiterate that any messages you might receive here @ SR at any time that are sexual in nature, threatening, abusive or even just a little off putting, you can always always contact a mod, or admin here for help.

I am very relieved that this was taken care of and that we have maintained the safe and secure space we want for our members, for all our members. It's brave to speak up when necessary and it's greatly appreciated.
