Good Morning!
I went to bed early and watched the Celtics beat the bucks but had a really hard time falling asleep! I imagine my sleep cycle will be messed up for a while!
Dee thanks for the recovery plan link!
so today I am going to hang close today and repeat what I did yesterday ! I am totally exhausted and probably see a nap in my future at some point today!
Thank you all for your advice and support!

It is so good you are back. You can get sober and live a life free from active addiction. You got this. The good thing is you have this place with so many many people who are on the same mission. Power in community.

It's great that you are back.

But the question that always gets asked is "what are you going to do different this time?"

Definitely one of the difficult things to deal when starting, it took me a few months to get it like i have today and i found a bedtime routine is everything. Same time every night with a mint tea and a few minutes meditation. Hope all is going well.

Going into my hard time of day but feeling strong right now!
I had to put my awning out on my Rv trailer and it didn't go as planned! I have put this out so many times it is ridiculous! When it didn't go well today my first tho was to go grab a drink! Like that ever makes things any better. 😂
I had to say to myself that a drink is no longer a option.. So I came in and poured myself a Gingerale and I'm doing good! Day two

Day two! How wonderful. You're doing this, Quit.

I can't believe how much I relied on drinking to 'help' me through any & all situations. You're right, it never did the job. Just created more troubles on top of what we were already dealing with. No more.

Thanks you all! I am almost through my time that I would start drinking! Day two wasn't easy but it was better of being drunk and passing out with no recollection of going to bed!
Glad to be here and reading all that you have to say!
Time to eat some dinner!

don't let yourself get hungry, the brain seems to interpret that as a desire to drink.

if you're Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired it seems to invite the thought of drinking. many times i've had cravings but they went away after i ate a good meal.

Good Morning! I had another rough night with sleeping and waking up very early. I expected this and just am accepting that this is going to be part of the process!
Day 3.

You CAN do this, and as you know it is worth it. Don't give up and try not to be ashamed. It is in the past and you have a bight sober future.

Good evening everyone! I am making it through day three!
Today I felt a little clearer and a little better physically but I'm still exhausted. I just wanted to let you all know that it's 7 PM my time and I am almost willing to count day 3 in the bank.
Hoping for a better night sleep tonight, but I am grateful to be going to bed sober when I do get into bed! I have my two doggies to keep me company and I am very grateful for that.
I hope you are all having a good evening
