Cascabel

Well, my first day sober went pretty well. I managed to stay busy through the “hour of temptation” and spent the evening watching a WW2 documentary on NETFLIX. No strong cravings. I treated myself to a bowl of ice cream about an hour before bed and then sat on the deck and watched the desert sky go dark; the sunset was spectacular. I had a good night’s sleep and woke about 5:30 MST to a lovely sunrise. My dog and I walked about a mile and now it’s time for breakfast. No real withdrawal symptoms other than a mild headache.

So, day two is underway.

Note to myself: don’t get cocky😀

Day three, then?

The dog walk sounds lovely. I try to take a long walk every day and it is very soothing and fills me with wonder and joy. Not to mention how good it is for healing the body, mind, and spirit.
