Thirty Days Clean and I’m Cleaning!
Today is my 30th consecutive day of sobriety, and I am using it to deep clean my house!
The realtor comes tomorrow morning to take photos for our property listing, so I’m scrubbing, sweating, and enjoying the physical effort. It’s nice to work my body instead of my mind for a bit. Plus, I love the new start that a clean, de-cluttered home brings. ✨
Big Book meeting then Sweet 16 basketball tonight! Hope all of my SR friends are enjoying the good life that sobriety allows us to access!
Take care,
TC

Thanks, Anna! The color is called “Clay Mask”, and I love how it warms the space!
We live on a 6 acre peninsula of farm land surrounded by lake views. My husband and I saved FOREVER to buy this place - it was our old dream for our family.
Now we are trying to figure out a new dream!
My drug use resulted in the loss of my job (the largest part of our income), so it will be much less financially stressful if we are able to downsize. I’m praying that we get an interested buyer, but if we don’t I’m not worried. I’ve decided that God will provide me an employment opportunity if moving isn’t in the plan.
I’ve been a bit overwhelmed with all of the decisions/ what-ifs that are accompanying my sobriety. Sometimes I hate that can’t control the future! But my AA buddies keep reminding me to decide what I can control (cleaning/painting, looking for work in a new field, etc…), and move ahead with those things. Good advice for me!
If anyone is reading this, wondering if they should attempt narcotics or alcohol abuse in order to solve their problems, take it from me ….. they shouldn’t. 😉
