Day 25 - all peachy !
So I did a major spring overhaul of my balcony garden which has a lot of containers and window boxes attached to the railings - it is one of my greatest pleasures in life ! The daffodils, hyacinths , cyclamen etc were expiring so I said good bye to them and replaced them with some lovely polyanthus and other small colourful plants. I have quite a big olive tree and a mimosa on the balcony - the latter is currently flowering and looking gorgeous. Nothing like another small tree I thought so I bought a dwarf peach and put it in a large terracotta pot! It’s already got pretty pink flowers, and I was assured by the young man at the garden centre, that it would give me peaches in the summer ! That’s something to look forward to right ? !
The garden is a refuge me too, Ican. Observing, encouraging things to grow, helps me enormously.
Mimosa (wattle, acacia) is our national flower Ican. Mentioned in many poems of the Australian bush, and highly significant in aboriginal culture. I love the golden wattle. It brings the bees, and in doing so, keeps the whole world turning.
Keep turning Ican. I'm doing my best.

Oh wow ! I didn’t know that about mimosa ! How interesting ! Mine bloomed in time for International Women’s Day (March 8th) which made me happy as apparently in Italy it is what is given out in celebration ! :-)
