Four weeks
Morning all. Just marking four weeks since my last drink. I find it useful to keep a track of days and milestones because it helps other people empathise with that I'm going through at any given point...but equally my sobriety is much more 'working towards' - I am counting days down until I feel better.
I am already feeling much better physically, walking loads and losing weight. Any one who drank cider like I did will know the relief of not needing to be near a toilet 24/7, and my mouth doesn't bleed when I clean my teeth.
Mentally it's slower progress. My anxiety is improving but I find myself obsessing in my thoughts on certain things. I'm tired a lot and my sleep isn't great.
Thanks to everyone on here for your help and support

You are doing great. I know it's hard, but like they say often, "You are right where you should be." I have no idea how they measure this, but they say that. lol. Maybe a better way to put it is that nothing there strikes me as unusual. We expect unusual things in recovery, and some of them will be unusually pleasant surprises too.
