Day 309
Hello friends,
I’m going strong at day 309 and looking forward to the 1 year mark.
I had a stay over at a friends place but didn’t drink even though the hosts did.
but I had a Bundaberg root beer that said ‘no alcohol’. It had a slight after taste but I ignored it.
a quick google search indicates it may have traces of alcohol!!
Does this ruin my sober streak?
can I expect mild symptoms? Anxiety etc?
Thanks 🙏🏽

I certainly wouldn't sweat it. You didn't deliberately drink alcohol and if (IF!) there was any it would have been very minor trace amounts. Personally I wouldn't reset the clock. Congrats on 309 days! Remain vigilant and keep going.
0.02% alcohol is such a small amount and very unlikely you’ll feel any effects. There are a variety of food and drinks that contain small traces of alcohol including vinegar, soy sauce, mustard, and more. You’re still sober. 😁
Hi Silver
If it makes you feel any better I've had a Bundaberg ginger beer many times.
I'm not resetting my sober date
Yes its brewed and its called a beer but they would not sell it in supermarkets, corner stores, or to kids if you could get intoxicated from it,
I believe the bite in the after taste is from the ginger, not alcohol

An alcohol content of 2 tenths of 1 percent is absolutely nothing to even remotely worry about. There are many things that have trace amounts of alcohol in them including homemade bread, for example.
Think no more of it and carry on!

I've drank my share of that too so the post still applies
I reckon the aftertaste there is the vanilla bean
