Day 453 checking in

Hope everyone is doing well. Been going through alot of stress and anxiety at work due to the covid19. This 2nd wave of infections due to the delta strain has made the a toxic place even more toxic. I am still keeping up with my recovery tools and self care. I feel no triggers to drink or use just isolated again. I know things will get better and the emotions will pass. This cloud over my head is just lingering a bit longer. Take care everyone stay safe

Hi stickyone. Great to see you are still on top of this thing we fight. And I'm glad you are taking care of yourself. 453 days. Some serious time sober, healing, and living well.

My man! Sorry you’re hitting a bump in the road. Like you said it will pass, but we have to do the things that make us grow to grow through these moments.

Thanks BABM I'm feeling much better today. Last night I had a before bed meditation session and it very much help me let go some of the negative emotions that were lingering over. I will add it to my daily self care and non negotiable list. Yes BABM thank you for reminding me about growth. Through the good and bad we must keep moving forward in the right direction. Even if it's just one step or a day it adds upadd

Congratulations on your sober time.

It's a damn shame that covid, mask wearing, and vaccinations have become such political issues. I have opinions about that, but political stuff should not be part of a recovery website.

Yes I didn't mean to get political. I'm just having a hard time I lost some people close to me from covid19 and was looking for some support here.

I didn't mean that I thought you were getting political. I'm trying to keep my own behavior in check.

Stay safe Sticky, and trust your gut if the situation seems unsafe. This new variant is nasty, and that's not political.

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you both for the response. I'm just having one of those times. But I am truly grateful for my life in recovery. I have grown so much over this year and last. And I will continue to work on it one day at a time. lol
