4 weeks sober

Hi everyone. This is my first post. I decided to join this forum on the recommendation of my therapist. It's the first time in 35 years I've been sober for this long. I feel amazing already and seeing so many benefits. I'm hoping I may find people who've been on my journey before and find friendship and support to kick this awful drug once and for all.

It's great to have you with us, broomy. I drank 30 yrs. & was so relieved to find SR. Everyone understood what I was going through - the way others couldn't. Being comfortable talking about our challenges made all the difference to me - I wasn't alone anymore. Welcome!
