Starting week 6
Have cravings, first few weeks, not so much, now...major. I think they may be tied to emotional swings, stuff going on, but that doesn't make them less real.
Frustrating

week 6 is great - and yeah cravings will probably come back in a wave a time or two - but we don't have to respond to them and they will die away.

Great job on 6 weeks, Raeven. Glad you're still here. The cravings are probably emotionally-driven now, as you mention. I had some the day before yesterday that were noticeable (I'm in week 9 or 10 now). I felt the same, that they were emotional swings. My sleep has also been kinda bad too, but I think it's from too much coffee.
It just takes time but will steadily improve. Hang in there.

6 weeks is amazing Raeven. Those dirty little AV's of ours keep trying to give us reasons to drink. But we don't drink anymore. I am already planning on being one of those people who will always deal with the occasional craving. The only thing that gives me hope is that the cravings seem to be ever-diminishing in frequency the longer I stay sober.
Six weeks sober is great! The best advice I can give is to practice gratitude every day. It made my sobriety stronger and made me more positive.
Here's an article about how being grateful can make us happier.

I recognize my triggers more now. Boredom, stress and, well, an amazing dinner, I did baked chicken breast stuffed with garlic and herb sift cheese., new recipe for me, retiring gives me a lot of time to.cook. I always enjoyed wine pairings with dinner and Sprite doesn't quite cut it
Sleep is OK, actually sleeping more since I don't have a schedule, got up at 4 when I was working because I started at 6. But yea, emotions are in many directions and it is harder to turn off.
thank you

thanks, super easy. Thin cut chicken breasts, pounded between wax paper with mallet to about 1/4", used Boursin cheese, rolled between warm hands to make it softer and hold together. Roll up the chicken around it, pinch together edges, dip in whisked egg, roll in mix of psnko, garlic powder, seal salt,, Herbs de Provence, space in baking dish, 50 minutes at 350. Had a rice with green vegetable side. It was so good, and the left over heated up well for lunch. Prep about 15 min, easier than I thought.
