I felt in my recovery it was best for me to keep myself away from functions where alcohol was present. I couldn't always accommodate that but after a year or so it got easier. My wife still drinks and we never fully removed her alcohol from the house. I knew I was done with the hangovers, withdrawal, shame, pain, secrets and more shame. It does get easier with sober time though. Stay strong!

That's just it, I'm not interested in drinking, I don't want it, I just worry about the much he is drinking, I can watch them drinking knowing that I'm gonna wake up feeling a lot better than them,
