sleep pattern

I'm in a frustrating sleep pattern.

* Get a great night sleep and feel awesome.
* Can't sleep the next night. Slug through the day and get a great night sleep because I'm exhausted from the previous night.
* Get a great night sleep and feel awesome
* Can't sleep the next night. . . you get the picture.

I know these things smooth out, but this pattern is a grind.

Thanks for listening.

I understand. Sleeping has been a struggle but it seems to getting better. Getting exorcise and waking up at the same time every morning (even on weekends) seems to help.

Yeah, lack of sleep is very frustrating. As FishingDude said, try to stick to a bedtime/wakeup routine. Be careful what you eat and drink in the evenings, too. And, as hard as it is, try to not worry about it because, in my experience, that makes things worse.

When I traveled for work. I would use melatonin to get back to sleep cycle. It just takes time usually. I started to lower caffeine usage, and practice meditation and get my exercise in. It will get better.

Sleep has always been a problem for me. I think it’s one of the things that drove me to drinking. Over a year sober and it’s better but not great. But I will take the lack of sleep over a hangover any day.
