One Year Sober
Woohoo! I haven't checked in here in a long time but I managed to stack one day on another and here we are. My life has changed for the positive in every single way. I'm happier, healthier, I sleep every single night, and I'm several thousand dollars richer by not buying booze and weed daily. This sobriety thing is really where it's at. I don't attend many meetings anymore but I do practice the 12 steps in life. Thank you to everyone who was so encouraging in the beginning. To anyone reading that thinks becoming sober is impossible I'll tell you that you are stronger than you know. Just stack up the days and don't worry about any sort of milestone. One day after another is enough.

I really appreciate the congratulations everyone! I can't imagine how much more miserable 2020 would have been had I still been drinking and smoking weed. The isolation alone would have ramped things up to a new level. Deciding to get sober and putting in the work to stay sober was the best decision I have ever made. I wish this for everyone that is struggling.
