Back after 3 years..
Welcome back advike.
No, it's not the amount we drink, it's what the alcohol itself does to us, both mentally and physically. Sometimes (always) when I've tried to 'control' my drinking, just having 1 or 2 sends me into the pit of doom and reignites the compulsion for more.
I think sometimes that is is even harder for people who don't consume too larger quantities to be understood by others, as their only reply is to say, "you don't drink enough for it to be a problem", so we stop talking about it, and stop seeking help. We carry it alone, and probably continue to drink.
You won't find those responses here because we understand these things.
Good to see you back.

I have no urge or desire to return to that ever again, but I have to rebuild a strong foundation because I know after a month or two the voice will be saying "what was the big deal?. You can have a couple.." I know it only too well.
Thanks for your input.
