Humiliation
Welcome to SR Kim! You will find so much support on this site! Reading and posting here daily was and is still the biggest parts of my recovery plan.
I am also the mom of three kiddos, and for almost five years now I have been enjoying my time with them sober. It is so nice to be able to be fully present for my kids, and for myself.
As for embarrassing, or cringe worthy memories, I think we all have them, I know I do. One of the quotes I have read on this site often is “There’s a reason the windshield is bigger than the rear view mirror. Where you’re going is so much better than where you’ve been.”
Looking forward to seeing you on SR!
