Hello,
I am technically a part of July 2020 class but I chose not to introduce myself until today as I was feeling a bit superstitious and didn’t want to jinx my progress. I had my last drink around 1:30am Friday July 24th (I caught up with friends that Thursday evening and continued to drink with them all evening until that last drink). So today is Day 7 for me as I am starting my count as of Saturday July 25.
Thank you so much to this site and everyone here. Focusing only on one day at a time and today I don’t drink.
Have a great Friday everyone.

Thank you so much venuscat. It feels great to be back and to be here at day 7. No worries at all on my date, I kept it quiet as I dealt with getting through this first week. But as it is the last day of July I needed to speak up and I am proud to be able to do so.
Morning.
I got the inside of the Bilko painted yesterday and then hit the wall. Too whipped from the day before. So I took the rest of the day off. This morning I got up an hour early and trimmed the grass while it was cool. Then Mrs & I went for a 6+ mile bicycle ride around the neighborhood. I was fine till we got home. As soon as I stopped I burst out in sweat. LOL Didn't get to shave yesterday so that's on the adgenda along with a shower. Then lunch and a nap.
I also decided that if we split and have to sell the house, I'm not going to kill myself getting it ready just to turn it over to someone else. We can pay to have work done or not. I'll do all the normal upkeep. But why should I do a flurry of work and not get to enjoy the result? Nope - not doin' it.
Had a good virtual meeting yesterday.

Day 25
Thank you for kind words about my cold - no problems - totally gone (so I'm not going on death ventilator to be inflated till I pop)
I had big plans for today but could not be bothered and just played computer games instead
Hi Copperfield (is your first name David?)
I'm a bit numb - but there are big changes in my body chemistry (my blood type was Jack Daniel's before I quit) and you can't expect to be an eager beaver when all your organs are being repaired at the same time
I'm doing OK, and I really do appreciate that my life is much better not drinking (and so less stressful)
Anyway - well done if you are still a keeping clean :-)

Day 34... Happy Friday all. I think eventually ill stop with counting days. Once I past 30 its not as important to me lol.. ill just know every saturday is another week instead. Hope everyone has a fab sober weekend! Welcome to all the newbies as this class is about to move from this area. I notice classes usually dwindle down when they do. Hopefully that doesnt happen too bad.

End of second day. Sort of technically that will be about 1am. Still in withdrawals. I wasn't well enough to go out today Last night sleep was bizarre, I fell asleep for about 2 hours (eventually) watching shameless on my laptop and had dreams mingled with the episodes that played automatically.
At least the anxiety was gone today. It was only a 4 day bender so expect I will start feeling bit better tomorrow. Although it will probably be about 5 days before I start sleeping and having any energy to speak of.
PS What's a Bilko?
And happy to see so many people sober here.

Thank you Dee
Ah 10 hours later I got the joke venuscat. I thought well, you don't have to be a magician to make the alcohol disappear I did it very regularly, faster than the eye can see! But realised you meant from Copperfields life! Not down their throat 😬
I'm still one sandwich short of a picnic it seems 😊
Still not sleeping ( that's my excuse anyway)
Don't know if I stayed up late or got up early hard to judge.
Wishing everyone a good weekend.
They don't bother me that much because I drank anytime anyday.
But if they are difficult for anyone, stick with it.

She's got the most peculiar meow. Sort of "ow, ow" I always say I don't know if she has a mew impediment or is just lazy. She was around about 1 or under when I got her from the shelter and they had taken her just weaned kittens from her so she was pretty distraught.
Congrats on day 29! (day 11 here)
