Not much info to go on, AI, but if it’s not cirrhosis, that’s a great start.
How was the diagnosis made?
I had quite a lot of pain, almost as if I’d strained the back muscles on my right side, which was probably due to a combination of inflammation and fatty liver. I say probably as the doctor wasn’t sure the reasons for the pain, but an ultrasound did pick up a mild fatty liver. If that condition was caused by alcohol, it will definitely clear up surprisingly quickly by quitting alcohol and living more healthily. I had a liver fibroscan eight months after the mild fatty liver diagnosis, and all the fat had gone. All I did was quit drinking.
But as I often say on here, a fatty liver isn’t good news. It’s the first stage of liver disease. Take it as a massive warning and thank your lucky stars you don’t have cirrhosis. You’ve been smart enough to dodge a bullet so enjoy being sober 👍

I think this means it can repair itself?
Of course if you start drinking again you may be looking at a very much worse scenario down the track.
we only get so many second chances - run with this one Al.
