Day 2 and working on more
Hello all,
I'm on my day 2. I was sober for 120 days after I left rehab in Jan. I've slipped for the last few weeks but ready to get back on that horse! I realize I can't change the relapse but to learn from it! I hope all is having a great day!

Hi Scottie. Welcome to SR. This is a great place to get some feedback and support. 120 days is a great stretch of time sober so you know how to do it. What made you drink? Can you identify what happened and make a plan to deal with that when it comes up again? It is good that you don't seem to be too down on yourself and just put the relapse/slip behind you. And you are already on Day 2!!
Keep learning and growing Scottie as you continue on your
recovery journey in life maintaining continuous sobriety a day
at a time.
Hold onto your recovery lifelines and support with each
step you take asking questions and suggestions to guide
you along the way.
Rehab 29 yrs ago became just one of many stepping stones
to help me achieve continuous sobriety. I took the knowledge
of addiction and a recovery program to incorporate in all my
daily affairs to also achieve health happiness and honesty with
many more of lifes rewarding gifts.
We all begin with a single sober day and from there we continue
on staying in the moment or each single day sober at a time listening,
learning, absorbing and applying helpful tools to build a strong solid
recovery foundation to live our lives upon for yrs to come.
If you need help in anything, be sure to ask because no one
ever has to go thru anything in life alone or by ourselves.

Thank you Surrendered!! Yeah, some issues at work and personal things with my family. I've already started to make new plans and ways to keep a positive mindset. I do feel upbeat. I'm back on my medications and realize that feeling bad about what I did will not change or make it any better or make it go away. I feel like I should face it head on and admit that I made a mistake. I feel like I should reach out and be an open book about my addiction!
