I absolutely love music. I honestly think it keeps me sane. I wish I could play guitar though. I bought an accoustic guitar years ago and just couldn't pick up how to play it.

I'm glad to know you're not alone.
Now...stop being that someone that someone else has to take care of.
You know I'm right.

ThisÂ
Drink water, eat something if you can, dump any remaining booze and sleep it off.
It sucks but that’s the next step.
Your wife s likely exhausted and won’t be able to sleep until you stop.Do it for both of you.
Re: I come in peace, and very humble.
I hope you'll do more than consider it Jeff.
Don't rethink things in a few days and rationalise you don't need to make any changes.
There's no a lot of road left for you doing it the lone wolf way.
I think it's time to really be humble and admit that you haven't got this under control at all..

I was incredibly anxious and panicked after a bender.
Things like this helped.

Box breathing is useful too

Of course if you feel really poorly, the ER option is always there.
You're not going to catch COVID 19 there, I promise.

Re: I come in peace, and very humble.
You are no different than any of us Jeff. No dark thoughts in your head darker than what others here struggle with. Your grievances no more justified. No additional dues paid that others haven't paid. I've only been on this site for 5 months and I think you hang on to resentment. Perhpas about your place in the world. I sympathize and empathize as I struggle with those feelings too. I imagine many here do as well. But I sense the topic looms very large in your head.
I think you are a strong person and a very smart person, but those resentments seem to creep back in, you get pissed, and then it's off to the races.
Just my .02$ for something to think about down the road that might be included in a build-up to drinking. I hope you have tipped over into bed and are not drinking tonight. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully you can get on the phone or on your laptop screen with a doc.
I hope you know that you have helped so many people on this site with your humor and wisdom and seasoned knowledge. You have definitely helped me.

Re: I come in peace, and very humble.
I do remember you saying in January as a reply on someone's thread that although gunners was a fave band of yours that you hadn't listened in years as it would give you the buzz to drink.
I hope you remember not to listen next time..
This is what listening to marilyn manson does to me and it used to make me crave getting high..
I pray that you've put the bottle down.

Re: I come in peace, and very humble.
This thread has brought back vivid memories of my last bender/detox last May now. I feel for you Jeff, I know what's it like but you need some medical assistance now. Only for the fact I got hauled off to the doctors I don't want would have happened to me?!
Re: I come in peace, and very humble.
Glad you checked in Jeff
Get back on the horse and make some significant revisions to your sobriety plan when you are feeling a little bit better.
You can do it. It's the most important thing to do in your life right now.

I'm glad you've been to the doctor, Jeff. This stuff is harder than either of us bargained for, I reckon. I hope you really throw your all into recovery once you're back among us.
