I strongly advise Medical Detox to have a safe withdrawal.

I agree with everyone urging you to go to the ER & rehab. It sounds like your drinking is at an extremely dangerous level.

Mary - I'm thankful you found us & wanted to tell your story. As others already mentioned, the first few days are quite awful, especially if we've been drinking 'round the clock (I was too). Being here helped me to no longer feel alone & lessened my anxiety. I agree it would be best to have a doctor's supervision - to be safe. The misery will end and you'll be able to reclaim your life.

Mary, it will get better but it will be hard for a few days first. Stick it out and the clouds will lift!

Thank you for ALL your kind words!!! I’ve done just about every treatment out there...even a 90 day program (which I got kicked out of for testing positive for alcohol). I made it through the really tough part. If I could sleep...even better!! I’m out of Netflix movies!!!!

Best of luck to you this time mary and please dont pick up a drink. Stick around here as much as you can. Read and post. We have all been there. You can do this and get off that demon alcohol. I look forward to reading about your progress. Now is the time!

Hi Mary, I hope you post again soon. As you can see you've rattled us. If you haven't already, get to a doctor. Once you've detoxed, you need to get to some face2face meetings of AA. Get a sponsor and work the steps. We are here for support.

I hope you went to the doctor or A&E Mary.

You may well get through this bout, but if you are drinking Windex and hand sanitiser think f2f, or rehab is a really good idea. You need greater support imho.

Are you sober Mary? When was your last drink? We know you aren't drinking that stuff right this very moment but you have in the past and you likely will in the future. Folks are just observing that because you have in the past drank Windex and hand sanitizer, that you should bolt to professional help, which I agree with if you have the means to do that. But sober and posting here is good too. When was your last drink? Any detox symptoms of note?

I'm sorry Mary, that really is all I meant.

Just thought, if you have over the past few weeks had to resort to other chemicals to quell the crave seeing someone face to face would be a good idea for you.

I don't know whether you have support or not but it can be very difficult getting through this alone. That's all.

I hope you you are ok Mary, and that you continue to post.
