Confused about where to post

Hi all. I joined the January group mid-month, but not sure what thread to post in. And do the Januarians post regular check-ins or updates? Thanks.

Hi Sunny. I just found SR and joined a couple of weeks ago, Today (Monday where I am) is my Day 19. So this is just based on my recent experience (but I've been on line, on this lifeline, a lot these two weeks. It is a great support):

It's fine to post in a thread you start, like this one if you want. But since you're asking, have you seen the Class of January 2020 site? That's probably where this month's members who want to do check-ins tend to post their regular updates. Check it out and you'll see. Some post a lot, some not.

So feel free to post there (or here), either about what's on your mind, or responding to someone else's post.

Any other questions? Just ask. SR is open 24/7 (but not jr67; I'm turning in soon as it's heading up toward midnight). Feel free to browse and explore the various parts of the site.

The monthly thread is a place for others at the same stage of sobriety as yourself and yes posting updates about where you are at, how you are feeling etc but you can post basically wherever you want, there is also a 24hour thread that is good or you can start your own thread for some support..
Just browse around there are many pages and threads..

There's no hard and fast rules

Most people in a monthly thread like the Class of January post about their day & how their recovery is going and also post to support others.

You can also start as many threads like this one as you like

Its all about you getting the support you need.

D

The January of 2020 thread is a good one and so is the 24 hour thread, they should both be fairly active. Also, spend some time reading and posting in the newcomers section, you will get to know lots of people!

Everyone else already answered your question, but I wanted to say welcome! I’m in the January 2020 class, too. It’s a great group... the whole site has been wonderful. I hope you stick around!
