Howdy Y'all
I've got about 6 weeks out after 3 years of perpetual"sipping" to the tune of a fifth of rum a day.
I quit in 2015 and started back almost exactly one year later when the wife wound up in emergency surgery for a complete colostomy

Howdy back.
I drank more than that at the end, so I understand how hard it can be to quit when consuming so much.
I'm sorry to hear about your wife.
You had a year and that's great. You can do it again.
You've found a great place for support from people who understand, so I hope you stick around.
Best to you.

Lots of folks have replaced alcohol addiction with
some sort of a recovery program to incorporate in
their everyday life on a continuous bases to achieve
health, happiness and honesty for the rest of their
lives.
That way you, me, us never need to pick up again.
Stay strong, responsible and keep moving forward
one day sober ahead of you.
Welcome and keep coming back.
