It’s okay! It’s just a bad day -Weekenders 18 - 21 October 2019
Welcome to the Weekenders
Being the biggest drama queen (in the past) meant that a bad day was a big deal. It caused stress and I looked for reasons why is this happening to me?
I’ve realised, as the years move on and as my sobriety gets stronger, that a bad day is just that, a bad day. I can’t have fluffy pandas and furry kittens every day!
Could be the moon above, could be some bug I’ve picked up, could be a distant memory, and then again it could just be my mood.
Accepting that today isn’t that great, sometimes for no reason and putting it down to just that, can keep the AV (addictive voice) from niggling at us too.
There are brighter days ahead.
If this is your first weekend sober, or many, come join us for support and chat...as we know the weekends can be a struggle sometimes. (We’re here all week too!)

I've got accepted into the inpatient clinic that I was talking about a while ago. Beginning of November to mid December.
5 to 6 weeks of 100% rehab.
Home all fixed up for Xmas.
Very happy.

Congrats Dragon!! I hope you do something nice for yourself today just to celebrate a little.
im in! Zoo this weekend and my mom and I are supposed to go to do fall themed stuff Saturday. Haven’t hung out with her in awhile so it should be really nice.
I have been going to bed too fkn late the past two weeks and it’s catching up to me. I think I’m gonna try to get all my stuff done tonight and call it early. Fingers crossed.
Also, great topic Mags, thanks. When you’re in the thick of it, it can be hard to see that bad days are temporary. But if you have the tools to reach out and help yourself if it does become more than just a bad day (depression etc) then you can make it through.

Bummer about the dentist, Kaily.
New countertops going into my kitchen and bathroom as we speak. Then the plumber will come in and hook up all the new stuff. All that's left now is a few cabinet pieces that came in wrong from the builders, and appliances, that I can't get until next week because of timing issues with delivery. Then it's all done! Fingers crossed that things go smoothly from here on out. It really hasn't been that bad, just took longer and cost a little more than I expected, but that's normal.

Thanks Mags! I checked and do you know what? 50% of all the days I have ever lived were below average! Seriously, it's a timely reminder that there is no pink cloud, not even for normies.

I have only posted the link rather than the video as there are 3 F-bombs in the lyrics. Good to see young people writing and performing about this stuff and not from the point of view of praising it.

It's been unusually warm beautiful October day.
My friend invited me for a fashion show tomorrow. So, it will be a good change for my routine.
Luckily, no HM-encounters today, though entire situation is still unnerving me.
