Hi, weekenders.

((MLD))

The weather is unusually beautiful here.

Antibiotics make me a little dizzy, so using is as an excuse to get lazy)

I need to think about re-starting repairs in my apartment too, but it's such a humangous project for me right now that I don't know where to start. Ahhrrr.

Have a good night/day, everyone.

Make a list. Break everything down into steps then choose one little thing and do it. I know, easier said than done. I often get paralyzed in a loop where I choose one thing, but it would be better to get another thing done first, but that means doing something else and I don't have the stuff yet. ect, ect.

Dragon - Thank you for advice. I know - one thing at a time, but when it comes to all this repairs stuff I feel like a total idiot

Sao - At least you have floor. I still have no floors in my entrance area and kitchen - just concrete.

This sober bus sure is comfy! It's Sunday morning here and I'm about to leave to go pick up my mother to take her shopping. Neither of us enjoys spending time together but she is disabled and isolated and doesn't have another option to take her places. Then I'll go see my father in the nursing home. He has dementia and has good days and bad days. We don't get on very well either but I want to make sure he is ok and being looked after.

Morning Weekenders

Patcha, it’s good of you to take your mum shopping, I bet she appreciates it even if she maybe doesn’t say. Sorry your dad has dementia, my mum-in-law has it, it’s her short term memory gone for now. It can’t be easy for you when you visit your dad.

Snooz, a lazy Sunday sounds good to me, are you watching any good box sets on tv?

It feels really cold outside though it’s 9°C so not that cold.

We’re visiting in-laws later then a quiet day in. No cooking as we’re having what’s left over from yesterday. How lazy is that.

Have a great Sunday, it’s definitely better sober, that’s for sure.

Good morning sobrietists!

Went to see a local college production of Arsenic and Old Lace last night. Still a fun show even though many of the references are lost on modern audiences.

Cold and rainy here today. Meal prep for the week and some financial organization are on the agenda. Grateful I can do these things in peace and prosperity!

Have a great Sunday, y'all!

Having Sister and family over for dinner. Make-up for last weekends cancelled thanksgiving dinner. They are non-drinkers unlike Mrs Dragons side. How did that work out? My family don't drink heavily, her's does. Yet I'm the alci and she's the tea drinker. lol.

Another sober weekend in the books. I read that London ambulances are called out on average 196 times a day due to drink or drug related incidents. That's a lot of medical assistance being diverted from elsewhere.

Beautiful weather here today too! I finished work at home, preparing for the week, worked out, and now I’m going to nap.
11 sober, productive weeks today for me! Happy Sunday SR ☀️

That's fantastic VMan, they look delicious. I expect there is a long growing season in south west France. You're right, it is quiet, I hope everyone is well.

Congratulations on 11 weeks Mariposa!

Vman - that produce looks extraordinary! We get gifted a bit of allotment stuff from a friend but it's not in quite the same class as that.

Nonsensical - I love the film of Arsenic and Old Lace. References not lost on me! We usually find it's on TV sometime around Christmas so I shall catch up then.

Patcha - so good that you keep supporting your parents even if they're not your companions of first choice. Impressive.

Sao - how depressing is that statistic? You have to feel for the ambulance crew.

Nice work on those veggies Vman!

I love drinking herbal tea in the evenings, but the multiple trips to the potty in the night are making me rethink this. Working on my gratitude for indoor plumbing this morning!

Keep it simple y'all!
