Day 3. Went for walk this evening with my 2 daughters in the park, 5k, did fairly well and had good time chatting with them because both of them on diets. Helped to ease the anxiety. Home 9pm, still would like to have a glass/bottle of wine but urge not as strong. Tired. Netflix again but will sleep soon I think. Had a nitemare last nite, hopefully not tonight.

Sounds like you are doing well. Really cool to hear you walking and talking with your kids. Connections are so important. Stay strong. John

Hi Deidre and welcome from another grandmother with one live in g.child plus 2. I was also a drink a bottle of wine ( or 2) per night kind of person. I did that for over 20 years and I'm 18 months sober today and that's the best thing I've ever done for myself.
I'm glad you've joined us, stick close and post as often as you can, you can do this. xx

Howmanytimes, doing fine so far but it is a struggle every night. I went to visit an old friend last night who has been ill. We chatted until 10pm and that broke the the drinking wine routine. I know it will get possibly harder, winter coming, long dark evenings. I like sewing, nothing very elaborate, cushions, curtains, blinds etc. Going to get back to that. I am feeling less tired, sleeping better. 5th night coming.

It does get easier and when cravings come they pass pretty quickly with distraction.

Great job so far!
