Staying sober after AA?

i went to a crapton of meetings the first year and a LOT for a few years after. i dont attend meetings that often now-14+ years later.

That's me, too. My program has evolved since I began it in Feb 2016.

One thing I would throw in to all the (anti, non, whatever) AA people is the flip side of what I do: keep adding things. so, if you want to do AA somehow, and of course I believe strongly that actually doing the program not just going to meetings leads to much greater reward - cool. Then add. Or, do the reverse- ex, my husband initially decided on a total one year life make over, if you will, and that included not drinking. He started Aa meetings about 7 mo in, and committed to it around a year, and still puts his other tools like spiritual growth about on par.

In short- there's not enough we can do to embolden ourselves or strengthen our sobriety. So, if avrt worked well for me, would I ask myself the question should I move on? Nope. Same with my program of AA.
