My sister died this morning at 56.

I'm going to bed sober. Reading your post reinforces my resolve. Thank you for that. My sister died at 49 and my brother at 33. Both addicts.

A stark reminder of the insidious nature of addiction. No matter the circumstances, it is still a loss, and for that I am sorry, KMT.

It breaks my heart to hear how many of you have lost siblings and other family members from this disease.

My condolences to all who have suffered a loss from this disease.

Yes, it is amazing how common it is. My wife lost her sister at age 55.
