Shouting out!
Shouting out!
I'm just shouting out to say I have 8 years of sobriety thanks to the 12 steps and this site! I was a decade-long lurker before I could stay stopped and joined as an actual member (instead of a "guest").
Whatever works for you, hold on tight and enjoy the sober journey!
I was once homeless and today I am a home-owner. I have my profession back and I am growing and learning daily. I am useful to others wherever I am and life is joyful. There is power in helping another stay stopped!!
Thank you, SR, for helping me get 8 years of sobriety!

Big congratulations, Sugarbear!
I'm so happy life is going well for you.
I know you had many challenges along the way. You fought hard and never gave up.
Thank you for all the members you helped along the way!

I thank you all. SR has been so helpful to me. It onlly took me 25 years to finally stay stopped. All those things we don't do yet.....the Not Yets will happen if you continue to drink, at least they did for me.
Sobriety brings me peace and sober decisions. Challenges come and we get through them, but without alcohol, life is so much easier for me than the hell I created while drinking.
Staying stopped is the goal.
If you are new and struggling, that battle is the one to fight, but stop fighting alcohol and surrender to the fact that you can't drink alcohol safely. So, don't drink. Ride the sober ride with us!
