I think you should be very proud of yourself. 17 months was brilliant going New home etc and I'm sure you got a lot more done in those 17 months. your already back on track again , once we stay sober everything sorts itself it out over time.
I think its normal to want to fix ourselves when we get sober.
My advice though is to try and stick to one thing at a time.
Get and stay sober first - then the rest of the 'fixing' will be that much easier PeaceInSilence

Peace- well done on your honesty. Keep posting. I found being sober gave me a solid foundation on working (which I still am) on the reasons why I used booze. 2 different things for me- sobriety and the problems. I have to work hard on both- with professional support for the problems, daily support - SR and meetings for the sobriety.
My prayers and support to you.

Went back to my home group last night and it felt really good to be there. I was worried Id feel out of place, everyone would be muttering about the big grand I! But no..... I was hugged, welcomed back and sent to the kitchen to help with the tea and instantly I knew I was where I was meant to be.
I realise I have a lot of work to do but I also need to remember this isn't a race. I'm going to be doing this work on myself forever (and I hope that's a while yet!)
Day 4.
Peace
