Hi
Hi, I’m Lassy and I’m here for support for bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. I’m in treatment for my conditions, but I’m disabled and it’s hard. I want to be healthier mentally and physically.
I’m also here to understand my brother’s poly-drug addiction. I know it’s up to him, but I’d like support and knowledge about his illness. He also has bipolar disorder and dropped out of treatment years ago. We used to be so close but he’s deep in addiction and very ill. I don’t even know if he’s alive. I’m so sad.

Hi Lass,
Addiction is hard to understand from the outside, because to "normal" folks the action seems to be a matter of choice. Once someone is addicted, choice is almost non-existent. Sober Recovery has a "Friends and Family" forum which has lots of good information and support you may find helpful; check it out.
Also, for local face-to-face support you may find Al Anon worth looking into: Al-Anon Website.
Good luck!
