Hi Foolish - and getting SMARTER! - glad you are here.
How are you feeling today?
For me, the first and absolute most important thing was not to drink. I did start AA right away, and that grew into a life view, not just about not drinking. It takes time, whatever your plan is - but an action plan with specifics around not drinking is critical to those of us with some sobriety under our belts.
As far as sleep, that is still a tough one for me a lot of the time. I was VERY sick when I quit drinking and over my 2 yr almost 9 mo have become a quite healthy 42 yr old, particularly for someone who was given a yr-18 mo before I would die a horrific alcoholic death.
Stay with us and maybe look at the Class of November 2018 thread - it's folks quitting now like you!
