18 months Alcohol free today (28th)
Hi guys,
I used to be a regular poster on here and still check in from time to time. A lot of my former travesties are documented on here so I guess the group is part of my history.
A lot of positives have happened over the last 18 months for sure, weight loss (5 stone-70lbs), finances have dramatically improved, got a good well paid job etc.
Theres obviously still work to be done as life has its own way of keeping your feet on the ground but overall my situation is a million times better by simply cutting out alcohol.
Have a great Sunday and if anyone is struggling I can promise that it’s worth it in the long run. If I can do it then anyone can do it
Bruno xx

Bruno,
Congrats on your clean life.
I posted a video yesterday about the stigma off quitting drinking.
Basically, it went like this...
quit smoking=well done.
quit drinking=you must be an alcoholic.
I don't know if I am an alcoholic, but I would rather treat myself like one and be wrong, than not treat myself like one and be wrong.
Sir Richard Burton once said...if I am not an alcoholic, I was very close to being one...he went on to say...the crave never goes away. It is a daily thing.
The av is still in the recesses of my mind and he is doing push ups.
Thanks.
