Drinking
I bet many of those same drinking so
called friends are still drinking it up at
the club I left some 27 yrs ago.
A continuous program of recovery
incorporated in my everyday life has
given me a sober life I am grateful
and blessed for today.

Excellent!
You might think about turning off your phone -- can you put drinking buddies on the phone-equivalent of "ignore"? -- until you can answer those invites with a confident, "No thanks."
Or tell people, "Can't make it to the bar this time" -- until they stop asking. They will.
Onward!

Glad you made it! Sidenote; I read how many days in your original post, but wanted you to say it again for yourself. Once you uncomplicate your 'thinking' about drinking and accept you just don't/shouldn't anymore, the easier it gets. Hang in there.
