de nada, saou. Uriah Heep's been a part of my life for a long, long time.

So has snorkeling. My last wife and my BIL were in Key West on a reef trip when we say a big beautiful nurse shark cruising the bottom. We were following it and ran right into some other people from the boat.

"Sorry, we were just following the shark."

"Shark?"

"Yea, big six or seven footer."

I saw people walk on water that day.

Morning weekenders.
Our little holiday is over and heading home this morning. Have to get psyched up for work tomorrow morning. Glad I didn't drink obviously and was able to share a little with you guys. Hope I didn't make anyone feel too nostalgic....
Anyway Mrs V is still in dreamland.

It's great to see lots of new weekenders. Post away guys cause for some of us the weekend can be trigger happy time and it's good to have a place to vent.

Didn't see any Tetra post this week... and any other MIA' s.

Coffee calling.
Hope you all have a great Sunday.
V.

Thanks Gilmer. I'm off to a ((Bounce)) class soon which I really enjoy so hoping the atmosphere of the class and the happy hormones released by exercising will shift my mood. What are others up to today?

Morning, Vinny.

I am planning a day off the gym today. I am usually taking on rest day per week to let my body recover after intensive workouts.

Plans for today is lots of writing, updating my project progress on that entrepreneurial forum I am hell scared of, cleaning and making a plan for the next week.

I am going on a long (21 day) business trip in two weeks. I am better to start getting ready for this too.

How did I forget to mention this? Well, it's a long story.

As I mentioned on the other thread, again I am dealing with controversial situation, seaside town for my business trip, and lots of think about.

I've just back from grocery shopping - decided to treat myself to a nice dinner today - expensive steak, lots of veggies, sesame oil and salad for dessert.

See you)

Morning Everyone! Day 7 and another day of sunshine in the North of the UK and the plan is to powerwash the back yard and clean out the outdoor sheds. I checked out some recipie books yesterday and for lunch I am going to cook salmon with coconut and basil pesto sauce and veg, and for pudding cinnemon and honey baked figs with natural yoghurt on top. Beats ordering a pizza from the local take out which is what I would normally do as normally I would have a hangover today! It's good to be in a different place even if it's just for today.

Hope everyone has a good day today:

Vman - Travel Safe and glad you had such fun on your little break
Sao - Enjoy the cars!
Midnightblue - Steak sounds fab and good luck with the tinterweb updates for your project
Nova84 - Bounce class sounds fun! I am nowhere near fit enough to do that so hat's off to you and enjoy those happy endorphines afterwards
Trachemys - Sharks are awesome and would love to see more when diving but I would need to be on the ocean bottom...thought of being in the big blue with them swimming up from below does make me shiver a bit

To all the other weekenders that haven't yet dropped by, keep strong and hope you have a good day today xx

I'm ok thanks for asking Gilmer.
Piccies have been fab everyone.
I've come away to our caravan with Mr P and spent a bit of time with him whilst he's been fishing... I feel I'm neglecting my family this year due to being so busy with uni work on top of everything else.
Drinking dream last night... Guinness and white wine.... geepers it was vivid... my head this morning is messed up and I feel as though I've got a hangover. That gave Mr P a chuckle! (He was not being mean though).
Right time to hit the coffee... books.... headache tablets.... I've tried rest and water to no avail!
Hugs
Xx

Morning all! Got rid of some big pieces of furnature yesterday. Work on purging the house is coming along nicely. I need to do some yard work but I also need to purge and clean the garage. We are going to need the space for when we empty our uncles condo. (His daughter returns next month and we'll be selling the place.).

STDragon: we are selling are place so had painters in and put our stuff in storage in preparation for the move so I know it's a lot of work...but actually I really enjoyed being physically active and the satisfaction of clearing out and getting rid of junk.

MantaLady: your recipe does sound delicious...yum yum 😋

After an active morning at ((Bounce)) I'm having a lazy afternoon watching Netflix...it's gorgeous weather outside but Im not one for sitting out in the sun so I am indoors trying to stay cool 😓

What in the heck is a bank holiday? Is that the day they have to close to count all the money?

Seems...pretentious. Or maybe I'm envious? I'm not sure, haven't finished my coffee.

I'm absolutely 100% certain I will make it through this weekend sober. I'm very grateful for that. Top of the gratitude list, as a matter of fact. Everything else is manageable if I get that one bit right.

The salmon dish was a success! Can't believe it came out of my kitchen. Took 15 minutes to make and was so simple.

I don't know if my tastebuds have changed a little with not drinking? I used to not really enjoy healthy food and always reached for the carbs, take out pizza's and beige food that made me feel even more rotten than I already did. I even started ordering from some horrible take aways simply because they would deliver alcohol at the same time?!?

First home cooked from scratch meal in a long long time!

That's a beautiful thing, MantaLady. I live in salmon-land and never eat it!

Yours looks yum, though.

I eat sooooooo much better sober, and really enjoy my vegetables now.
