Last drink today

I've got one can and a drop of wine left. I'm having that later and that's my lot.

Welcome to SR!

Simply running out of booze was never a good long term sobriety plan for me. You probably will want to add other stuff to your sobriety plan.

Want to bide farewell to alcohol? Throw it down the sink, not your throat.

Funny I used to say the excat same words
Tomorrow I'm done
No more

But it didn't happen
I wanted to stop so many times
But the day I stopped was when I'd finally had enough
I knew deep down I was killing myself ...slowly
I have everything to live for
So I made a choice
Live or drink
I'm 82 days sober
Tough times but it's the best decision I've made in my entire life
Good luck I pray you come through this
Caralara ❤️

Yes I'm back. I drank my last drink. Since Xmas I've poured a lot of alcohol down the sink. But picked up. I've got to listen to my body. Actually feeling excited about living without alcohol.

Use this excitement to get you through the first 4 days.
Surf those urges.

All you have to do to have achieve a full life is not drink.

You can do it.

Welcome Aranyakas,

great job. Use the excitement - and you should feel excited - and make some kind of plan to keep alcohol out of your life.

I know a lot of miserable alcoholics but I have never come across anyone who got sober and regretted it. That's worth thinking about!

So, go for it!

Welcome to SR. I'm glad you're on this journey with us. Sobriety is very rewarding. It's hard to imagine sobriety when drunk but I'm over a month dry thanks to this place!

I look forward to following your milestones. First week is a rough ride but it gets easier. Fight those urges.

That's great news. It's good that you're excited & looking forward to a sober life, rather than thinking of it as missing out.
