Welcome back.

I found the best way to deal with my sh*t is to deal with it sober. The pain will be there in the bottle, and will not go away until the bottle is gone.

Blessings,
DC

Hey Less. I'm 42, on day 4, and a deal lawyer -- so I can relate. I have gone through this cycle more times than I can count, and have also had booze in the desk drawer (or an extra fifth of something in the garage at home so I can get a proper buzz without my wife noticing). Many of my colleagues have something in their office, and drinking is part of the accepted culture -- almost every firm and client event involves alcohol, and happy hours are a regular occurrence. It it hard not to think "I don't really have a problem" when it is so accepted and, frankly, it is fairly easy in this profession to get away with it.

Law and booze are a ****** combination. Booze really don't go with anything except personal and professional disaster.
