I’m having to move the SMART Recovery meeting I facilitate as it was on the beach in a location they now are dumping cleaned soil from the Montecito Mudslides which were a few blocks away. My meetings often attract newcomers including those court appointed as well as people who are starting or returning to their recovery journey.

One place I’m considering is to meet at the base of our pier which has seating as well as a beautiful view. Other locations under consideration is a room in the VA Center where they also hold AA meetings. I’m also willing to think further outside the box.

What is your favorite meeting location? Why do you like it?

No specific location, but I have groups I like more than others. Just the personality and the regulars at the group.
