Happy Holidays?

Hi everyone I am 3 weeks sober and having a hard time with the holidays. I have two adopted teenage girls that are in foster care due to their behaviors and one biological daughter who is with my sister at the moment due to my behaviors. My teenagers are very angry with me because they were supposed to be coming home next month and I got very drunk one night and had somebody over and I tried to kick them out but they wouldn't leave. My neighbor's ended up calling the police to remove him and when they came they gave me a breathalyzer and I blew a .229, my daughter was actually at the neighbors but they removed her anyways so now I am alone on the holidays and I'm not even allowed to have contact with the teenagers. Their biological mother is scheduled to be released from prison on January 3rd and I'm just having a really rough time I want to get my daughter's home and I'm doing everything I possibly can but I'm struggling with my depression

Sorry your holidays are sad. But your choice to get sober is a wise one and will ensure that the coming months bring you more happiness.

Keep going, stay sober, prove to everyone that you are working on things, you are staying sober.

Hey Cindy Sue!

3 weeks is a great start and you should be hugely proud for this accomplishment.

Stay the course... being sober is the way to changing your life for the better.

Best to you !

Please take care, look after yourself and try and eat as much as you can, if you are craving. 3 weeks is brilliant! You are doing so well. Best wishes. Gabe x

Hey, 3 weeks is fantastic.

I reckon alcohol fries the part of our brains that makes good decisions.

Haven't cocked up (much) since I got sober!!!

I hope you can find some peace today .

Hi Cindy
Happy holidays and congrats on 3 weeks. Where are the adoptive and bio fathers for the teens?

I have a teenage daughter and can't imagine losing her because of my addiction. I do know I have hurt her....a lot. She needs me and loves me. Knowing this helps me get through the tough times. Yes we stay sober for ourselves, but I do it for her as well. I must.
