Shaky Hands
I’ve been sober a little over two weeks now and actually feel pretty good with the exception of my hands, they won’t stop shaking. How long does this stage usually last and is there anything I can do to help stop them........
Hi Fletch ansd Kramer
The answer is difficult because we;re all different, some have no shakes at all, some minimal, some severe...and some for short - or long - periods of time.
If it's concerning you it's best to see your Dr.
Just a reminder to everyone - personal experience only please - no recommendations. We're not doctors.

Glad you're here!
It took me awhile- a month or so?- for them to go away then for a while after that the shaking came back periodically. I remember sitting on them a few times in AA mtgs or at a meal! Lots of water and other non-caff bevs - and time- and like my other w/drawal then PAWS symptoms, it went away.
At 20+ mo I get an occasional tremor in my left hand - usually it passes quickly and I typically just drink a lot of water then and rethink how much caffeine I have had that day!
Keep going- our bodies need time to heal.

I'm not a doctor and I didn't stay at a holiday inn express last night but you are doing great by not drinking! This will pass soon and you will be on your way. I wish you well on your journey!

For me, my hands shook hard for the first 2 months, maybe a little longer. Like someone else posted, it still comes and goes for me, at almost 7 months sober.
You can shake during initial withdrawal, and you can shake during PAWS. It's really wild how different people respond - not really a textbook thing.
Diet and supplements helped me, but even the supplements should have the blessing of your medical provider.
