How's it going Iamme?

Don't feel like you can only post when things are feeling positive by the way. The road to recovery will have its ups and downs at all stages.

Day two ...

I am feeling better every day ... But I have my ups and downs. I'm still not sure what obstacles will be coming my way. In some ways, I miss my silent secrets ... But in others, I realize that no matter how high functioning I thought I was, or how much I devoted myself to helping other people ... I think I really hurt a lot of people along the way too. #Iwontbeweakanymore. It's been a confusing time. But I am much happier now!

I agree, there are going to be some emotional and confusing thoughts and feelings. I know you were suffering, but in a way it was lucky for you that you took it so far so fast.

That was a lot of vodka. Please don't pick it up again. You aren't someone who is going to be able to have a glass of wine or "one" drink EVER again. That is just how it will have to be now. You crossed a line that can't be uncrossed, just like I did. Do you understand that drinking has to be off the table forever now? I feel like you don't have a lot of experience or understanding of what happened? I could be wrong and if so, I apologize.

You can read AA's Big Book online at their website if you want...you may get an insider's look. Here's the link:

AA's Big Book & 12 Steps and 12 Traditions

Alcoholics can't go back to being social drinkers. You now know how you and alcohol react and it's scary and deadly. Same as for all of us here. For me and you, alcohol is all or nothing.

They say we're only as sick as our secrets. I don't think secrets like this one are a good thing, iamme.

Glad you feel better.
