It will, you gotta hang in there. It may take about a week for the physical symptoms to pass. Depending on how much and long you've been drinking daily, maybe it would be best to see a doctor and get rid of all the beer in the house. Not to scare you, but if you'll be going through withdrawal, the symptoms only peak on the second and third days if it's been a while.

Thanks Carprice6, I think I've gotten to the point where I need to stop. Snuck up on me.

Things are pretty stark in the beginning, but it gets so much better. Go easy on yourself, and if you feel like jumping your skin again, spend some time here

Hi and welcoem marblepuck

I found support really helps - it won't stop you from wanting to jump out of your skin, but it does make things a little easier...

and yeah it passes - none of us would be here if it didn't.

Give it a little time - if you're like me you drank for years - it's gonna take a little time for mind and body to recover

D
