Hi all
Hi all,
I'm new, just joined, and thrilled to have found you guys. I am new to joining a group like this, and look forward to talking with people here. Just poured a nearly full bottle down the drain, and immediately felt the positive charge of taking responsibility and control of my well being. Then I searched online, found this site, and here I am!

Welcome.
This place can save you if you want it to.
After my last and final binge 8 May 2015 I knew my drunkard days were over forever.
My body and mind were done. I poured over a liter of vodka and rum down the drain.
I didn't want the easy temptation.
I would curl up in a ball in my man cave nightly and suffer through the healing.
Now my man cave, and home, are my ultimate places of sober power.
I only get tempted by normies and actives periodically, but I come back home, and here, and get advice to not degenerate.
Thanks.

Welcome MC. I found SR the same way ..when I was in a very dark and dangerous place. To open up on a global community takes courage and honesty. To have the resolve to pour out left - over alcohol, instead of downing it ,so not to waste it is showing determination and resolve. So well done, you. One person suggested I join the 'Class of' for the month I was at (March '16). Except for 2 statewide power blackouts- I have used that thread every day and now count it as a positive and very useful part of my on going recovery. So perhaps join the 'Class of September 2017' thread? I am a computer ****** so have not got to doing the link thing. I use a few threads such the report in 24, - and others in the newcomer's section.. Look, read, research, join in!
Again welcome. Keep posting.
