Helloooo SR!
Helloooo SR!
It's been a long time since I posted.
I do stop by and read everyday to keep up and to stay in touch.
Lots of congratulations to all who are sober today.
I'm at 79 days and my life has changed in so many ways it would be hard to list them all.
Emotions and feelings are a roller coaster. But, the beauty and the blessing of that, is that I HAVE emotions and feelings now. REAL ones, good and bad and none coated in alcohol and drugs. I get to live life experiencing things sober. Not all of that is wonderful and sparkly, but I'm sober and that's the main thing.
I enjoy all the little things I've missed for years. Walks, meeting new people, being outside instead of holed up in my home or a bar, my new dog who is a blessing in himself. 79 days ago it would have been unfathomable to be waking up at 5:20 and taking a dog for a bathroom walk!
My obsession to drink and drug are gone. The urges come and go, but don't last long. I "pray" them away or call my sponsor or other women in the AA program.
There is such joy in living life on life's terms.
Thank you SR for being my starting point in my road to recovery.
Had you not been here that Thursday night, I might not have made the decision to quit drinking and drugging.
Happy Sober Sunday coming at you 79 days clean and sober and blessed!!
