Birthday tomorrow!
I will be 35 and will be celebrating with ice cold ginger ale, which I have a new found love for. I know I'm putting a lot on myself to quit drinking AND smoking for this milestone, so I am still allowing myself half a cigarette to 1 each day. I know that when I drink alcohol, I smoke wayyyy too much. So at least I won't have to worry about chain smoking while I binge drink (I'm sure many of you can relate). I also will NOT feel guilty for drinking ginger ale or coffee because of the sugar. I can't let those feeling of guilt/failure take over because that leads right back to me drinking beer and wine!
On the positive side, I am drinking more water and exercising in the time that use to be wasted on drinking!
I'll be working long hours the rest of the week, but looking forward to celebrating this weekend in the pool, and just enjoying the nice weather and time spent with my youngest daughter (my oldest is in Europe right now), and my friend who doesn't drink and her son.

Happy Birthday Bronzie! I get flak from my dentist for drinking too many carbonated drinks, so I drink big glasses of water and flavor it with ginger ale, mellow yellow, or 7up. It's not bad! Enjoy your pool party!
