Groundhog day
What action needs to happen for me to do this?
a commitment to NOT drinking again, under any circumstances, period. and then all the action you can muster to back that up.
we have to set ourselves up to be successful at sobriety.
it takes vigorous ACTION, on a daily basis.
it means doing things our AV tells we don't want to do:
1) consider treatment as a viable option to save your life
2) attend some type of recovery based meetings, daily
3) seek therapeutic support and be actively engaged in the process
4) change our playmates, playgrounds and playthings
5) follow the wise counsel of those with more sober time
6) remain humble and committed to sobriety, CHERISH it
7) ditch the excuses
8) embrace recovery

Hey everyone,
Just checking in to say I'm ok, on day one today.
Got to start somewhere and I'm just at work with a heap of anxiety so I'm making the decision to halt this nonsense
Thanks for all the support and encouragement

Stewy, so glad you checked in. That's great you are on Day 1. You have the power to do this. You deserve better! By not drinking, you aren't giving something worthwhile up. You are gaining life, getting your true self back. The alcohol is a lie, an illusion. You know this is no way to live. Life can be so much better!
It's really as simple as that.
