Not going to drink today
I've committed to not drinking today. I'm not going to look beyond today. It's a start. Tonight I will go to the gym as planned and get my laundry done. Also read more of my self help book.
Thankfully I have the meds I got from the dr last time I was going to quit. That should help with withdrawals tonight.
So here's to a new start.

I'm not going to drink today either. I feel like a lier as i come on here and say day 1, then 5, now back on day 4.
On the one hand i'm proud to be on day 4, especially because this time i'm not smoking pot or cigs either which are both wrapped up in the nasty problem, but on the other hand feel like i'm going around in circles.

I can really relate to what you are going through. I'm going through the same thing myself. Picking up and drinking again knowing what you are going to have to go through when you stop is just plain crazy and makes no sense. Hoping this is your last day 1. John

Hey Sinderos,
How was the gym? Did you get your laundry done? What book are you reading? I love inspirational, motivational 'self-help' books...I tend to listen to audiobooks versions in the car during my commute to work.
Wishing you well on your recovery journey x

I go to the gym in 30 minutes. Laundry is in the washer. The book I'm reading is called Love Yourself: Your Outer World is a Reflection of Your Inner World written by Paul Kain.
Welcome back
I understand the one day at a time thing... but I really recommend making a plan - you don't want to be ambushed by life and have nothing to turn to but the alcoholic default Sin...
