Bad day
Hey
well its been 23 days since I've had a drink. Today it's been on my mind a lot. It would be so easy to go get a six pack or three, it's so damn hard not to drink. My family has been great, my wife (married 32 years) has been wonderful, although there has been a time or 2 that the stuff she says is hard to hear. I'm just having a really had time letting my guilt go, I'm so ashamed of myself I just don't feel like I deserve them. Couple more hours and it will be time for bed, in the morning I'll thank God for the day that he is about to give me and ask him to give me the strength not to drink today.

Staying sober is a good way to make living amends to your loved ones. When we do this there is time to review our past mistakes.
We are not bad trying to be good, but sick trying to get well.
Keep it up and seek the help you need.
